Over the Moon - Buffalo and Cow Blue
Over the Moon has been turning local Waikato cow and goat milk, sheep milk from Spring Hill and Matakana buffalo milk into delicious cheeses for the last 10 years, creating everything from traditional hard cheeses through to soft whites, blues and washed rinds. They’ve collected 116 awards and won the hearts of cheese-lovers everywhere - including us!
This Buffalo/Cow blue vein cheese is unique and delicious with a complex flavour. It’s firm, and slightly crumbly, with a well balanced blue flavour, slightly earthy with a bit of a salty finish. Its colour is ivory with deep blue veins. A really unique blend of milks producing a truly interesting cheese!
