We really love the social focus on hohepa and we also love this cheese. The blue is their latest offering and it’s fabulous - so fabulous that it won a silver medal at the Cheese Awards this year. We think it’s a great addition to this months cheese box - not too challenge, but with a distinctive funk.
Hohepa’s cheese is produced using biodynamic methods - a spiritual – ethical – ecological approach to agriculture, based on the teachings of Rudolph Steiner. They milk 46 hand-reared, well loved shorthorned cows and they strive to ensure sustainability is at the heart of all that they do.
