Coppermine Cartwheel Creamery
This month we’ve provided you with two white mould cheeses and two blue cheeses, so you can compare and contrast.
We think it’s fascinating how much flavour variety is created by New Zealand’s artisan cheese-makers and we love enjoying the similarities and differences these four cheeses have to offer. Always remember to give your cheese a sniff before you eat it - your nose contains 5,000-10,000 smell receptors that help you pick up the nuances of flavour.
The Coppermine is an award winning washed-rind camembert that is literally washed as it develops, encouraging the growth of the coppery coloured culture. It has a smooth texture and subtle flavours, with a slightly bitter back-note.
